Well my favorite things to make are soups and breads so since fall is upon us I'm going to start posting my favorite soups and breads .. crockpot soups and those that are quick and easy.. Anyone want something special posted please let me know .. or if You have one 'd love send it to me .. I'll make it and post it along with my thoughts

Who doesn't like the smell of fresh baking bread !!! ?? I wish you could bottle it and use it as a spray for the car and office or on those days you wish you were Suzie Homemaker and weren't.. I found this recipe on a great website That I totally love called Brownie Points Its such a great easy bread .. You need to let it rise for a long time but there are only 4 ingredients. Water , Flour , yeast and salt!! No bread pan .. using your dutch oven!!

So with this wonderful bread. You can make those comfort foods your mom used to make like a crunch,gooey,wonderful grilled cheese. You can up it for the adult in you

Mix the cheese up dont unwrap it from the presliced things.
Think of great things from the farmers market like a nice ripe tomato or maybe a roasted red pepper maybe some mushrooms or a nice handful of fresh spinach. Oh yum .. the choices endless.. Happy grilling !!

The Best Bread I ever Made

Watermelon is Next

I spent one morning this past week with my oldest son .. We juiced watermelon .. I got 5 nice very very nice large watermelons at the Farmers Market in Toledo. So we juiced them all up and froze the juice in jars .. We will be making Watermelon wine!! You will all get the step by step trials on this .. I"ll share what not to do and how much of a sticky mess .. I'm hoping to take pic's so you can all witness the wild watermelon ways! Stay tuned

Jalapeno-pepper-jelly

I made this recipe the other day ... It was very tasty tho I did make a few changes of my own
I didn't use the green bell peppers .. I used red peppers instead .. I like the flavor of those green peppers dont set well with me .. this is wonderful on a bagel and cream cheese or poured over a block of soften cream cheese and used to spread on crackers or some nice bread for a quick appetizer. I also like it for a glaze on chicken,pork or steak !! yum

Taco Bake

Tortilla shells * larger ones work best *
1 lbs ground beef
sour cream
salsa
1 package of the Lipton taco rice
re fried beans * optional*
lettuce
tomato
package of taco seasoning for ground beef
1 package of shredded cheese
by the package recipe
cutting the veggies


fry up the ground beef and add the taco seasoning into the mixture
while that's going .. put the rice on and prepare Well I was asked to put one of my recipes on here so this is what I picked out


after everything is ready start with a 9x14 pan and layer the shells , meat , beans and rice topping off each layer with cheese .. starting each layer with a new set of tortilla shells after the pan is full and layers are done bake in a 350 oven till the cheese melted and heated thru about 30 mins depending on how thick

After its baked top with sour cream ,salsa lettuce and tomatoes


Serves a family of 4 to 6
